William C. Horst
William Horst brings over twenty-five years of executive coaching, assessment and leadership development experience to his role as a management psychologist. The executive coaching includes extensive work with individual executives as well as coaching executive teams. He conducts assessments for selection and development for managers through the C-Suite levels.
Prior to founding and becoming President of Horst Consulting Partners in 2003, Bill worked in college management and was an internal consultant in healthcare. He spent 18 years with RHR International as a Senior Consultant and Account Leader. He provided executive coaching, leadership assessments for selection and development, team development, organizational studies and merger/acquisition talent audits. Bill taught assessments, executive coaching and organizational studies as part of the RHR internal faculty. He was an Account Leader for such clients as EDS, Lennox International, Mutual of Omaha, Herman Miller, Wolverine Worldwide, First Data Corporation, Highlands Park Hospital, and multiple electric/gas utilities.
Bill partners with organizations and executives for executive coaching, assessments and on–boarding/integration for executives that are new to the company and/or their role. Bill works with a wide range of companies including mining, financial services, utilities, manufacturing, technology, agricultural, municipalities and family businesses. He has coached hundreds of leaders from all C-Suite areas as well as high potential leaders. Bill’s coaching focuses leaders to effectively leverage their strengths, think strategically and develop in areas that might limit their potential. He is known for his extensive expertise in assessments which includes selection, development and talent management with talent from high potentials to CEOs. His work includes companies in North America, Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Asia.
Bill completed his coaching certification through The Professional School of Psychology. He is certified in multiple individual, team and organizational instruments such as Emergenetics thinking styles, Hogan Leadership Assessments, Kolbe Indexes, Leadership Effectiveness Analysis (LEA), Insight Discovery, Center for Creative Leadership Benchmarks 360, PDI 360 instruments, and Denison. A licensed psychologist, Bill received his Bachelors and Masters from Creighton University. He completed all coursework for a Ph.D. in Organizational/Industrial Psychology at the University of Tennessee and then completed a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Michigan State University.
